Kidwell Farm

This time around we went to visit Kidwell Farm with Heather (with baby #2), Lisa, Cindy, and Selena. the pigs have grown up so much since we saw them two months ago. I can't seem to help draw a parallel between the piglets and Adrian. Both are much more independent these days. Little Adrian seems to be torn between hanging out next to me and breaking free to check out his surroundings. As soon as he realizes there is a physical distance between him and me he comes running back. It's nice to know I'm still needed :)

Happy Father's Day

Here is a late post on Adrian giving Zac his Father's Day card that morning.

The National Aquarium

Adrian started calling out "iishh" then it evolved to "iishh meeei". Yup! he is saying "it's mine". We officially have a toddler on our hands!

Busch Gardens

Busch Gardens is Zac and my favorite theme park because of its beauty and REAL roller coasters--not that we got to ride any this time of course. I'll be honest, the trip started out ROUGH as we were all seriously sleep-deprived when we headed out the door, and we hit some beach traffic.

As we were entering the park the sky looked threatening. Dark clouds rolled in and there I was explaining to Zac that weather forecast didn't call for rain. Zac didn't believe me a bit. Stupid meteorologist! they can't seem to ever get it right. As soon we discovered the new Sesame Street Forest of Fun the sky opened up. Luckily, we were nearby the skyride so we waited out the weather under some covering. Not too long before the rain lightened up and we were able to leave our shelter and enter an indoor show nearby. The show hasn't even started before little man decided he didn't want to sit still. It was a good thing we didn't waste our time watching the show because as we were leaving the theater the sun came out and we had beautiful weather for the rest of the afternoon, and because of the unforeseen thunderstorm in the morning the crowds were minimal for a good part of the day. The only bummer is that little man is growing more molars so he spent majority of the day with his fingers in his mouth. I think he had a great time overall though, and we always can tell by the expressions on his face. He is one who wears his emotions on his sleeves. If he isn't happy about something he'll LET you know! Turns out that seeing a duck up close and personal was pretty fantastic for him (guess he just appreciates what God has made more than what we humans have come up with).

Of course we had to introduce A. to Captain George's, mom and dad's favorite seafood buffet on earth. We all ate our own weight in crab legs and drove home fat and happy.

P.S. Grandma Kathy, you'll be interested to know he did the China man squat all over the park today.

Bad Elmo!

Leesburg Animal Park

Lately little man has been making all sorts of animal sounds so naturally he would be interested in a little local zoo. Today he learned monkeys say "ooo ooo" except
Adrian only says "oo" like he's bewildered by monkeys and not actually making the sounds of monkeys. We petted cute little goats, cows, donkeys, and llamas. This one llama had the most jacked up teeth ever! goats wanted our feed but they settled for my camera. The bumpy tractor ride wasn't too eventful but at least we got to feed the ducks. All the fish in the pond were well trained to know when they feel the vibration of the tractor it's feeding time. We loved the feeding frenzy!

I can already tell Adrian is going to be the king of playgrounds. Somehow, he just knows he's suppose to climb the monkey bars and move his body back and forth on the springy riding zebra. There was a moment when the moon bounce wasn't occupied by the big kids. Adrian and I took our shoes off and bounced for a while. He seemed to really enjoy that even though when he jumped his feet barely leaves the ground....he he!
