First Day At Ms. Robyn's

It had been so wonderful to hang out with Adrian on our Thanksgiving break. It's hard to send Adrian back to daycare today and on top of it all Adrian started a new in home daycare today at Ms. Robyn's.

Adrian greeted Ms. Robyn with a huge smile this morning. He must of liked her because he was chatting up a storm with her. He told her about the garbage truck he heard outside by saying "trash trash". We all know that "trash" is his favorite word right now but he really means "crash". Little guy has been ramming two Matchbox cars together and simultaneously yelling "trash". So back to this morning, he was also greeted with Ms. Robyn's cat, Zoey. Anyone who has a cat can't go wrong in Adrian's eyes. Apparently he gave so much attention to Zoey that Zoey had to go hide and I was told this cat likes attention. One of the greatest thing Ms. Robyn offers is a preschool curriculum. Today Adrian played with trains, learned the color blue (did crafts involving the color blue) and sensory table (she dumps all sorts of items and teach the children the shapes, colors and counts). Lovely Ms. Robyn thought I would love to see what Adrian did on his first day so she took pictures and printed them for me when I picked up Adrian this afternoon. I hope Adrian loves Ms. Robyn's as much as I do.

Helping Da Da Rake

Thanksgiving 2009 In Minnesota

We celebrated Thanksgiving with Grandpa Charlie and Grandma Ruth this year. Little man finally got to see Uncle Dave and meet his cousin Jarran for the first time. every time Jarran came into the room little man's face would light up and he would jibber jabber about everything to Jarran.

I forget Grandpa Charlie has all those cats and kittens. Adrian was obsessed about these outdoor cats. As soon as he woke up in the morning he couldn't wait to plaster his little face on Grandpa Charlie's sliding door and scream "kiiitty". The birds and cats entertained little man for a while, nothing like nature's TV! little man wanted to go outside so he can play with kittens but the cold weather kept him from going outside often. Btw, having been in MN I promise I will never complain about how cold it is here in DC!

We were so lucky to have Thanksgiving dinners twice, once at Grandpa Charlie's and another time at Grandma Ruth's. Mmmmmmmmm! if we typically ate like the way we did this past week we would all be a million pounds. good times by all.

No Respect For The Turkey

After seeing the National Christmas Tree today I was in total Christmas mood. Forget the turkey, I'm fast forwarding! Yep! I started decorating for Christmas. The garlands are up and the chandeliers decorated. We can't get the Christmas tree until after we come home from Thanksgiving in MN. I wouldn't know where to get a tree today anyways.

To top it off Adrian helped me bake cookies. Nothing like a home filled with the aroma of baking during the holiday season. Little guy probably thought cookie dough was playdough. He just couldn't resist from stabbing it with a spoon. Even though the cookies looked a bit mis-shaped coming out of the oven they still tasted the same.

Museum of American History

Little man's current obsession is any transportation, especially trains. Daddy and I knew the exhibit of Transportation of the Museum of American History would feed his obsession. It was so fulfilling to see him squeal while he pointed at trains, ships, trucks and other transportation manufactured throughout the years.

I didn't know the National Christmas Tree wasn't located on the lawn of White House?! for security reasons I suppose it makes sense. Ha! I finally got to see the tree this year. Now I just need to see it at night when it's lit.

Play Doh

Adrian got his little grubby hands on some play doh this weekend. He was a bit hesitant to touch it at first but then realized the potential of this squishy pile. Just as mommy expected he also tried to sneak a few pieces in his mouth. Mommy knew playdough sessions must be supervised!

Chef Adrian

Got to love the dollar bin at Target! How cute is the chef hat and apron?! I even found Adrian size whisk and rubber pan in the dollar section too. Mommy thinks A. looks like a Japanese Teppanyaki Chef.

Sunday Afternoon Walk

We've been spending a lot of time outdoors enjoying what's left of the Fall leaves on the tree and on the ground. Today has been exceptionally warm so we enjoyed a nice walk on the trail.

Miko had her excercise today and is now passed out next to me on the couch. It's a good thing a little dog like her doesn't require a lot of exercise. Anything more the Otto's won't be able to fulfill her needs. I always say she's the perfect dog!

A Walk With Adrian and Miko

Today definitely feels like Fall. Unlike yesterday, chill fills the air today. A., Miko and I took a walk and A. decided he would torment a bug. It's a good thing A. didn't show it to Miko, that bug would have been dead meat!
